The Fremont Art Association operates a Gallery located at 37659 Niles Boulevard Fremont, CA., in the historic Niles district of Fremont. The Association offers monthly guest artist demonstrations, gallery exhibiting privileges, feature artist showcases, annual events, and the opportunity to interact with a large group of seasoned artists. The Fremont Art association also has a newsletter, the "Local Color" , which is published monthly.

Membership is open to anyone, 18 years and over, who is interested in supporting our goals of fostering, promoting and encouraging the cultivation, and appreciation of Art.

Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday,11am to 5pm. Our address is 37659 Niles Boulevard, Fremont, CA 94536.

Mission Coffees Art Presentation. February 28, 2010.

Painting named New Mexico Doodle Art Painting Alaska Goauche Painting Dotted Cafe
Jan Schafir will be presenting an Art Show at Mission Coffees and More 121 Washington Blvd. DOTS, DOODLES AND DRIPS is the title of the exhibit. Jan, an art teacher of drawing and watercolor painting teaches her students the basic techniques of painting and drawing, then concentrates on developing their individual creativity. Because I do this, she says, I must stimulate my own creativity. I love to try new techniques. My approach to painting started many years ago when I took a workshop here in Fremont with an internationally known painter, Betty Lynch. She taught me to throw three basic colors on to the watercolor paper, then “find” a a painting instead of looking at a photo and copying it. Voila, my attitude and approach to painting was transformed. The painting I created at that workshop will be shown in this display.

After that, I will try any technique that fancies my creativity. Many of these and combinations of these are included in my show.
