Painting realistic & impressionistic flowers in watercolors

Meghana Mitragotri will demonstrate using watercolors to paint realistic and impressionistic flowers, showcasing unique tools and techniques. In this 1.5 hour in-person demo, Mitragotri will cover exploring color harmony, composition, and the subtle balance between control and spontaneity that gives watercolor its magic. Participants will gain insight into a creative process – from loose sketches to refined details.

Originally from India, Mitragotri now resides in Livermore and has been painting for 30+ years. Well versed in various mediums, she prefers watercolor due to its versatile nature. She enjoys sharing her love of watercolors and crafts by teaching others and providing demos. Mitragotri served as President of the Pleasanton Art League in 2022 and 2023. She also founded DaintlyMade, a company featuring her painting and other artistic works.
