Adult Acrylic Painting Class with Nancy Benton

Adult Acrylic Painting Class

Once a month

Contact instructor for information

This class is for students who want to learn the basics of acrylic painting or want to get guidance on a regular basis from an instructor for personal projects. Classes are held once a month, the second Saturday of the month. Instructor provides an optional assignment each month or students can work on their own projects. Most students pay for four classes at a time and drop-in at their convenience until the four days are used up. It's a friendly, informal, and flexible atmosphere!

Please contact the instructor before you drop-in for the first time for a materials list.

$25 per class for FAA members

$30 per class for non-FAA members

Nancy Benton is largely self taught. She is an advocate for fostering the appreciation and creation of art in the general public. She often says that after time spent in her studio, she comes out feeling human again. That process of creation and discussion of a painting or sculpture or public installation is what makes us all human.
Nancy is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fremont Art Association and has been teaching in the FAA Studio for two years. She enjoys working in a series and working on several at a time. A series is never really finished and Nancy will often go back and revisit past ideas. She works mostly in acrylic and loves to express the human condition and our relationship to nature and each other through landscapes to abstracts.

Nancy's latest work can be seen at The Main Gallery in Redwood City. List of other exhibitions can be found on her website
