Kindergarten - Upper Grades
Children will learn how to draw and paint confidently, enhance their artistic skill, and express their creativity.
Book 1: Pencil sketch and making watercolor pencil cards
Book 2: Pen sketch and watercolor techniques using mixing kit
Book 3: Varieties of cards using sketching, watercolor skills, and painting
Book 4: Electronic LED creative watercolor cards (Only template material is provided. Student should have art materials.)
Days and Times
Tuesday: 7:15 pm - 8:30 pm
Saturdays and Sundays: 5:15:pm - 6:15:pm
Supplies Needed
(Get the following materials at your own convenience, for use with books 1 through 4)
Derwent Watercolor Pencils 24-set of Assorted Colors;
Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Pocket Set of 12 half-pans;
#4 Round Brush; #4 Flat Brush;
Set of 10 Creative Greeting Cards;
Watercolor Greeting Cards

Jamunarani B Ramaraj (Ms. Jem) is an Instructional Assistant, with a CA Commission Teacher Credentialing Child Development Associate Teacher Permit. She has also served as Treasurer at the Niles Elementary School since 2016. Her service as docent from 2012-2013 earned her MFMII's prestigious Harmony Service Award in June 2013 . Her service as Liaison and Reflection chair, earned her the PTA's Honorary Service Award in Feb 2016.
Ms. Jem has a Masters in Electronic Science and she won a 2nd place award during her 3-year Baccalaureate degree in India. In her leisure time, she draws, and paints in watercolor. In 2016, her watercolor piece, "Sri Krishna Era Animals" earned the Gold Prize.
She has been teaching art to children at the Fremont Art Association since 2014 and aims to help children feel confident about their abilities to do their school projects successfully.
