about the instructor
Parul is a self-taught Bay Area macramé artist. For the past few years, she has been mastering the art of knotting, learning more knots and their variations with each day. She has worked as a clinical psychologist, a special educator and an instructor of psychology for over a decade, and as an HR generalist in India. She started exploring her creative self after immigrating to the US. She is passionate about macramé as both a therapeutic and meditative process, and wants her students to enjoy this also. Parul thoroughly enjoys the art form, relying on instinct and spontaneity, which results in a personalized work of art. Adding beautiful beads accentuates her distinctive style, and each “mistake” along the journey is a happy accident. Parul wants to keep this ancient art back to life and promote it for its simplicity and elegance.
