Basics of Watercolor for Beginners 
with Vaishaly Jaiprakash


 

Skill Level

Beginner to intermediate; 19 years and older. 

Basics of watercolors, color harmony, unity in design, rhythm in forms and shapes, color concepts, thereby enhancing their artistic ability to express their inner creativity.

 

Days and Times

2nd and 4th Saturdays

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

During: July, August, September, and October

Each Session will be limited to 6 students.

Supplies Needed

Please Note:

Participants are to get the materials at their own convenience. 

Materials can be purchased from the instructor at the cost of $150. She will need advance notice to order the supplies so please indicate your need at least 8 days in advance.

 

Paper: One - Arches Watercolor Paper Pad, 140 pound, Cold Press, 9" x 12" (~$26)

One - "unruled" notebook for thumbnail sketches and practice (~$10)

 

Brush: One - Silver Black Velvet Round Brush for Watercolor, Size 8 (~$24)

 

Paint: One set - Daniel Smith Essentials Introductory Watercolor, 6 Tubes set (~$36)

Miscellaneous (but essential): Paper towel, water containers, pencil, eraser, scrap paper etc.

Cost

$15 per session

To be paid in person at the Gallery at the start of the session

Vaishaly Jaiprakash

Vaishaly loves to create and gets her inspiration from nature. Dripping paint makes her happy and building layers tells her story. She is brilliant in turning "mistakes" into beautiful features and she does her best to live an inspired life. Her mantra is that there is so much to learn, explore, and experience in the creative journey.

Vaishaly is also a FAA member and was the 2019 Fremont Art Association Artist of The Year.
